SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE: PROFESSOR IGOR HRYHUS SPOKE AS A OPPONENT AT THE DEFENSE OF A DISSERTATION AT NUKAFS

On April 1, 2026, a significant event for the rehabilitation field took place at the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport (Kyiv) — the public defense of Anna Pavlivna Antonova's dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 227 "Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy."

The Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health Care of NUVHP, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ihor Mykhailovych Hryhus participated in the meeting of the specialized academic council as an official opponent.

Research topic: "Correction of musculoskeletal disorders in athletes in pole acrobatics through physical therapy" (scientific supervisor — Professor Iryna Zharova).

The council included leading scientists of the country:

• Chair of the council: Professor Oleksii Nikanorov (NUFPSU);
• Reviewers: Associate Professor Natalia Nosova and Associate Professor Lyudmyla Kravchuk (NUFPSU);
• Opponents: Professor Ihor Hryhus (NUVHP) and Professor Olha Andriichuk (Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University).

During the professional discussion, the relevance of developing new physical therapy protocols for specific sports was noted. Professor Ihor Hryhus emphasized the importance of a scientifically grounded approach to athlete rehabilitation and the high level of training of the candidate.

The participation of our specialists in events of this level once again confirms the authority of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health Care as one of the leading centers for the development of physical therapy in Ukraine.
