MASTER CLASS ON CANINE THERAPY

A meaningful and practice-oriented master class was held at the DOCADOG center for canine therapy, conducted by Tetiana Kovavliuk (Preschool Educational Institution 'Center Pahinec') for scientific and pedagogical staff of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Health Care.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to the application of canine therapy as an effective method of psycho-emotional support and rehabilitation for various categories of the population, particularly children with special educational needs. Special attention was given to the practical aspects of working with therapy dogs, the requirements for their training, as well as the ethical and safety standards for conducting sessions.
As part of the master class, exercises and techniques for the interaction between humans and dogs were demonstrated, which promote the development of communication skills, reduce anxiety levels, and improve motor skills and emotional well-being. Participants actively engaged in practical tasks, had the opportunity to ask questions, and discuss the prospects of implementing canine therapy in their professional activities.
It was specifically emphasized the importance of integrating elements of canine therapy into the educational process of training future specialists in the field of therapy and rehabilitation, as well as developing interdisciplinary cooperation with practitioner specialists.
The event took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere and sparked significant interest among scientific and pedagogical staff, marking an important step in the implementation of innovative rehabilitation technologies in the activities of the institute.
