On December 2, an online lecture was held dedicated to current issues in physiotherapy in Ukraine. The invited speaker, Professor Dirk Wissers, shared his observations and experiences working in combat zones. Participants discussed how the role of physiotherapists has changed since the start of the war, what new skills and competencies are necessary for working in such conditions, and the importance of psychological rehabilitation for patients. Additionally, a colleague from Morocco, Professor Abdelatif Maamri, spoke about the peculiarities of the healthcare system in Eastern Morocco and the role of physiotherapists within it.
Higher education seekers and lecturers from the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education are immensely grateful to the speakers and the University of Antwerp for supporting Ukrainian specialists and for the opportunity to learn new interesting and useful information.
