PHYSICAL THERAPY FORUM IN KYIV: NEW APPROACHES AND PROSPECTS FOR INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT
Professor of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health CareNahorna O.B.as a member of the public organization UUkrainian Association of Physical Therapyparticipated in the association forum held on March 20, 2026 inKyiv.
The event brought together leading specialists in the field of rehabilitation to discuss pressing issues related to the development of physical therapy in Ukraine. The focus was on innovative approaches to training future physical therapists, implementing evidence-based practices, developing leadership competencies and personnel management, justifying the role of public organizations in shaping state policy in the healthcare sector, and realizing a family-centered approach in pediatric rehabilitation.
In a professional environment of like-minded individuals – practicing specialists, potential employers, representatives of clinical practice bases, graduate students, and young scientists – modern rehabilitation programs for patients with various pathological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, acute stroke, spinal cord injuries, chronic back pain, and high fall risk, were actively discussed and argued.
Participation in such a professional event contributed to the exchange of experience, implementation of modern approaches in the educational process, and enhancement of the quality of training for physical therapy specialists.
