As part of the study of the educational component 'Securities and Stock Market Activities', students majoring in 'Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Market' worked on the English-language investment case 'The Walt Disney Company’s Stock: Buy, Hold, or Sell?' (Yang Shuran (Freya), Stephen Foerster, Ivey Business School, Western University).
During the case work, students conducted a comprehensive financial analysis of The Walt Disney Company's activities, explored the development prospects of the streaming segment, assessed the company's position among key competitors, and formulated their own investment recommendations regarding its shares.
An important outcome was also the improvement of skills in working with English-language financial terminology, analyzing authentic sources, and arguing investment decisions in English.
Practice-oriented learning based on international cases allows future financiers to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of global financial markets and to develop professional analytical competencies demanded by the modern economy.
