The Department of Accounting and Auditing of NULP, in collaboration with the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Rivne Oblast and the Territorial Branch of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Association of Taxpayers of Ukraine" in Rivne Oblast, conducted the Tax Brain Ring - 2026.
Six teams from various educational institutions participated in the event: "Balance team" (NUWEP), "Tax Queens" (Rivne Economic and Technological College of NUWEP), "Tax Vector" (Rivne Technical College of NUWEP), "No mistakes, nonsense, or hesitation" (Berezne Forestry Technical College of NUWEP), "VAT professionals" (Rivne College of Information Technologies), and "Fiscal Detectives" (Profile Business School of the Rivne City Palace for Children and Youth). The participants were the most intelligent and attentive experts in tax legislation.
With welcoming words to the participants addressed were the head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Prof. Olha Pavelko, the director of the Institute of Economics and Management, Prof. Natalia Kovshun, the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Rivne region Viktor Polyukhovych, the executive director of the Territorial Division of the All-Ukrainian Association of Taxpayers in Rivne region Larysa Sadova, professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing at NUVHP Svitlana Levytska, and the head of the information interaction sector of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Rivne region Irina Matviychuk.
The jury consists of representatives from the tax service and the educational community, including: Viktor Polyukhovych (head of the jury), Larysa Sadova, Iryna Matviychuk, Yuliia Vasyliuk, Liudmyla Vyshniak, Mariia Horbatiuk, Svitlana Kaminska, and Liudmyla Liubchyk.
Thanks to the professional moderation of Professor Dmytro Nikitenko, the game was noted for its high level of organization and lively discussions. It was proven that taxes are not only mandatory, unconditional payments to the relevant budget collected from taxpayers in accordance with the conditions established by the Tax Code, but also an excellent basis for an intellectual duel.
With the support of the head of the student parliament of NUVHP, Antoniy Pakhut, and the head of the student council of the Institute of Economics and Management, Bohdana Deisun, entertainment events were organized to provide emotional relief for the participants of the Tax Brain Ring.
As a result of a tough competition, two teams made it to the finals: "Balance team" (NUWGP) and "Tax Vector" (Vocational College of Rivne Technical College NUWGP). The victory was won by the "Balance team" (NUWGP), consisting of Elvina Adzhiveliia, Sofia Vasyliuk, Viktoriia Zdanevych, Oleksandr Kuchevskyi, Viktoriia Myskovets, and Ivanna Revych. The team's mentor is Professor Olha Osadcha from the Department of Accounting and Auditing at NUWGP.
The Tax Brain Ring once again confirmed the high level of preparation of students, their interest in the field of taxation, and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. The event served as an effective platform for developing professional competencies, communication, and teamwork on one hand, and as a space where quick thinking and depth of knowledge determine everything on the other.
