Round table for Europe Day!

The Department of Management and Public Administration held an online roundtable for Europe Day in Ukraine.

The event was attended by scholars, representatives of governmental and local self-government bodies, heads of territorial communities, experts in public administration, regional development, and European integration. Participants discussed current challenges and prospects for the development of public administration in the context of Euro-integration, decentralization, and the implementation of European governance standards.

The Director of the National Institute for Economic and Management Studies, Natalia Kovshun, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

The discussion included:

·        Natalia Pavlikha - Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Public and Project Management at Lutsk National Technical University, and head of the management of the NGO 'Institute of Cross-Border Initiatives'. In her presentation, she highlighted the topic of developing resilient smart territories in Ukraine and the role of the inclusive IT industry in the digital recovery of the country.

·        Vasyl Tuz - Executive Director of the Association of 'United Territorial Communities of Rivne Region'.

·        Mykhailo Lukyanin - an expert on energy efficiency and housing and communal communications in the field of public administration and territorial communities. The presentation revealed the specifics of implementing energy efficiency programs in territorial communities.

Dr. Yuriy Dreval and Dr. Lyudmila Beztelecna, representatives of territorial communities, local self-government bodies, and other invited participants also took part in the roundtable.

During the meeting, issues of enhancing the capacity of territorial communities, digitalization of public administration, transparency and integrity of government agencies, ecological and social components of sustainable development, as well as international partnership and attracting grant resources were discussed.

The event served as a platform for exchanging experiences, ideas, and practical developments in the field of public administration and local development!
