Guest lecture for students of NUWGP: "Challenges of Privatizing State Enterprises in a State of War"

Students of the specialty"Accounting and Taxation"and teachers from the Department of Accounting and Auditing of the National University of Water Management and Nature Use participated in an extremely informative guest lecture on the topic"Challenges of Privatizing State Enterprises, Their Financial and Economic Activities, and Reporting in a Wartime Environment."

The meeting took place within the framework of studying the OК OПП "Accounting and Taxation" at the first (bachelor's) level"Analysis of Economic Activities"and became an important opportunity for future bachelor's students of accounting and taxation to see the real context of the state sector's work in crisis conditions.

The guest of the meeting wasTatyana Prylutskaya, Deputy Head of the Regional Office of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Rivne and Zhytomyr regions.The expert shared unique practical experience and talked about key processes and risks that the state is currently facing in the area of privatization.

Key points of the lecture:

• how the war affects privatization processes and the management of state assets;

• which enterprises are currently being privatized and why;

• features of the financial and economic activities of state enterprises under conditions of restrictions and risks;

• requirements for reporting and transparency of activities in wartime;

• determination of damage and losses caused to Ukraine as a result of Russia's armed aggression;

• the role of accountants and analysts in ensuring control, data reliability, and effective asset management.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss real cases, and learn how specialists from the State Property Fund make decisions in situations of heightened uncertainty.

Future professionals in accounting, taxation, auditing, and analysis must understand how the public sector operates in crisis conditions. Such lectures allow students to: combine theory with real challenges; see practical aspects of analytical and accounting work; feel the responsibility of the profession in the context of national security.
