Scientific activity at the Department of Accounting and Auditing is one of the priority components of professional activity. In recent years, the following teachers have defended their doctoral dissertations: Olha Osadcha (2017), Olena Antoniuk (2019), Olha Pavelko (2020).
Professors of the department are members of specialized academic councils: Olha Pavelko, Olha Osadcha, Olena Antoniuk, and Svitlana Levytska – D 47.104.03 at NUWGP; Prof. Olha Osadcha – D 14.052.01 at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University; Prof. Svitlana Levytska – D 26.006.06 at KNEU named after Vadym Hetman.
Prof. Olha Pavelko and Prof. Olha Osadcha are members of expert scientific commissions of the Ministry of Education and Science for evaluating scientific projects. Prof. Olha Pavelko, Prof. Olha Osadcha, Prof. Svitlana Levytska, Prof. Olena Antoniuk, and Assoc. Prof. Oksana Zinkevych are members of the editorial board of the collection of scientific papers 'Visnyk NUWGP' (series 'Economic Sciences').

Prof. Olha Pavelko, Prof. Olha Osadcha, Prof. Svitlana Levytska, Prof. Olena Antoniuk, and Assoc. Prof. Oksana Zinkevych are members of the editorial board of the collection of scientific papers 'Visnyk NUWGP' (series 'Economic Sciences').

The Department of Accounting and Auditing organized and held the following conferences:
international: "Current Problems of Accounting and Analytical Support in the Context of the Transition to Industry 4.0" (March 26-27, 2020), "Current Problems of Accounting and Analytical Support for Management in the Context of Digital Transformation" (April 7, 2022);
national: "Current Problems of Accounting and Analytical Support for Business Entities in the Context of Sustainable Development" (April 17, 2019), "Implementation of Competency-Based Approach in the Training of Specialists in Accounting and Taxation" (November 22, 2019), "Current Problems of Accounting and Analytical Support for Business Entities in the Context of Sustainable Development" (April 1, 2021).
Teachers of the Department of Accounting and Auditing are actively involved in working with postgraduate students (in 2025 there are 8 of them at the department).
Students of the specialty "Accounting and Taxation" are winners of nationwide student scientific work competitions: Nerodyuk M. (II degree diploma, 2019); Bratsenyuk M. (I degree diploma, 2020); Samedova L. (III degree diploma, 2020); Khilchuk E. (I degree diploma, 2021); Bondarchuk K., Velihurska A. (II degree diploma, 2021) and the International Student Creative Competition (Dermanska M., Pavliuk V. (II degree diploma, 2021).
In addition, training and internships for students are organized at foreign universities. Thus, students Yarmolina G., Kovenko I. were studyingforspecialties"Accounting and Taxes" at the Institute of Law and Economics at Jan Długosz University in Poland from February 30, 2019, to February 7, 2020; student Novak S. from13.09.2023year to21.01.2024year – under the UG Erasmus Exchange Student program at Newcastle University Business School (UK); student Novak S. in June 2025 – under the Erasmus Exchange Student program (Germany).
In recent years, students majoring in 'Accounting and Taxation,' thanks to active scientific work, have received scholarships from the Mayor (Popchuk D., Yarmolina H.), the President of Ukraine (Borovets M., Burchena M., Samedova L., Bratseniuk M., Sytnikova A.), the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (Borovets M.), and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Li Venda K.). The scientific club 'Erudite in Audit' (led by Prof. Antoniuk O.R., Assoc. Prof. Zinkevych O.V.) was recognized as the best in NUWGP in 2021 (1st place) and 2022 (2nd place).
