The main areas of work of the center are:

· conducting surveys of the technical condition and inventory of buildings, structures, and networks using GIS technologies, including for facilities under construction in Ukraine funded by international financial organizations;

· development of project-estimate and design documentation for new construction, reconstruction, and capital repairs of facilities in various sectors, including for facilities under construction in Ukraine funded by international financial organizations, for the city of Rivne and NUWEP;

· author supervision of construction (reconstruction) and repair works, supervision of equipment installation, and commissioning works at facilities being built according to projects NDVBC;

· installation, training, and maintenance of software complexes that are part of the 'START' system;

· implementation of modern computer technologies for automated design and engineering into the practice of real coursework and diploma design and the development of master's theses by students of various specialties;

· conducting thermal imaging surveys, inspecting internal and external engineering systems of buildings, structures, and networks using electronic distance meters, thermal imagers, anemometers, pyrometers, gas analyzers, etc. for energy audits of buildings.

Throughout 2000-2026, the NDVBC NDS has completed various types of work amounting to over 6 million UAH, which, with few exceptions, have been implemented:

· developed and implemented 'Optimization Schemes for Centralized Water Supply and Sewage Systems of Settlements' for 2 cities;

· conducted technical inspections and inventory of more than 20 existing industrial and residential civil construction facilities, the results of which have been implemented in reconstruction projects or used for their commissioning (List attached);

· Project and cost estimate documentation and research has been developed for more than 70 facilities, based on which more than 30 objects of industrial and civil construction, water supply and drainage, heat and gas supply, heating, hot water supply, building ventilation, and engineering melioration have been built and put into operation (List attached);

· Authorial supervision has been conducted for the construction of more than 25 designed objects (List attached);

· Installation, training, and maintenance of the computer programs of the integrated system "PUSK" have been carried out at more than 60 enterprises in Western Ukraine;

· More than 25 reports with expert conclusions and recommendations on various issues and problems of construction and operation of water supply and heat supply systems have been prepared (List attached).

The results of scientific developments are also used in the educational process of the Department of Heat Supply and Alternative Energy:

· in the working project of the solid fuel boiler of the NUVHP dormitory;

· in projects for installing ventilation systems with heat recovery from exhaust air in classroom No. 664 of the Department of Heat Supply and Alternative Energy and the department of processing new and old literature of the scientific library of NUVHP;

· in the pre-project documentation for a heat pump installation using low-potential heat from wastewater and a geothermal field for hot water supply of dormitories No. 7 and No. 8 of NUVHP and the creation of a training-production laboratory in the auxiliary rooms building;

· in the pre-project documentation (preparation of initial data and documentation; express energy audits of buildings on the NUVHP campus; participation in the committees' tender activities) and scientific support (verification of project cost documentation for thermo-modernization of educational buildings No. 2 and 6) for NUVHP's participation in the Ministry of Education's credit project "Higher Education of Ukraine. Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development";

· in working programs and syllabuses of various disciplines of educational programs in Water Supply, Heat Supply, Energy Efficiency and Project Management;

· when developing methodological guidelines for the following disciplines: "Basics of Project Management" (Water Supply, Heat Supply - NNIAB), "Basics of Systems Analysis" (Water Supply, Heat Supply, Gas Supply - NNIAB, NNIVG), "Mathematical Methods for Solving Engineering Problems" (Water Supply, Heat Supply - FVG) and "Mathematical Modeling" in 2 parts (Water Supply - FVG), "Network Technologies of Projecting", "Economics of Water Supply Systems" for developing economic sections of diploma projects and master's theses (Heat Supply, Energy Efficiency in Project Management - NNIAB), "Refrigeration Units and Heat Pumps" (Heat Supply, Energy Efficiency in Project Management - NNIAB), etc.;

· in practical classes and laboratory work, GIS programs "University" and "Optimum" are used.

More than 60 students from the fields of TGV, EEBiOIS, ViV, MBG, PCB, TE, ABS, etc. (primarily with official employment related to the contractual research themes of the Research and Development Center at NUWGP) were involved in research work, real surveys, and design, along with over 35 instructors, graduate students, and staff from various departments and units of NUWGP (on a part-time basis).
