FOUNDATION, NAME CHANGE, REFORMING AND REORGANIZATION, HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS

The Department of Chemistry and Physics was established by order of the university rector No. 210 dated 12.04.13 in execution of the corresponding decision of the Academic Council of NULES by merging the existing departments of chemistry and physics. The head of the department is Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Mykola Volodymyrovych Moroz.

In turn, the Department of Chemistry was organized as an independent department in 1959 after the transfer of the educational institution from Kyiv to Rivne. The department was headed by: 1959-1967 – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Myron Yefymovych Tsymbler; 1967-1968 – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleksandra Mykhailivna Petrova; 1968-1970 – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Leonid Yosypovych Dvorkin; 1970-1980 – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Senior Researcher Friziyan Mykolaiovych Bodnaryuk; 1980-1988 – Honored Worker of Higher School, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Iryna Yevhenivna Manekovska; 1988-1993 – Honored Educator of Ukraine, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Nadiya Markivna Budenkova; 1994-2015 – Honored Educator of Ukraine, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Professor Mykola Vasylovych Yatskov.

The Department of Physics was established in 1959. Over the years, the department was headed by Candidate of Sciences, Associate Professors Oleksandr Ivanovych Diumin (1959-1961), Ihor Arkadiievych Korniienko (1961-1969), Viacheslav Aksentiiovych Dubchak (1969-1979), Roman Dmytrovych Bartosevych (1979-1989), Mykola Vasylovych Byalyk (1989-1993), Yevhen Serhiyovych Nikoniuk (1993-2000), Viktor Fedorovych Orlenko (2000-2013). From 2015 to 2020, the combined Department of Chemistry and Physics was headed by Honored Inventor of Ukraine, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Vyacheslav Ivanovych Haraschenko; from 2020 to 2021, the acting head of the department was Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleksii Viacheslavovych Haraschenko, and since October 2021, the department has been headed by Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Mykola Volodymyrovych Moroz.
