Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence(SWE and AI) of the National University of Water Management and Nature Safety was established in accordance withthe rector's order No. 81 dated February 6, 2026.Its establishment was a logical result of the evolution of technical education at the university and a response to global challenges of the digital transformation of the world.

History and Mission

The creation of the department is the result of many years of development of IT directions at NUWMP. By combining the experience of classical software engineering with the latest achievements in the field of intelligent systems, the department has become a center for training specialists capable of not only writing code but also designing complex architectural solutions. Our mission is to form the elite of the Ukrainian IT sector, which possesses programming languages, artificial intelligence tools, and the ability to develop complex software systems.
