Today, the department trains specialists in the specialtyF2 "Software Engineering"at the following levels:
💻 Bachelor's degree:
🧠 Master's program:
This field emerged as a response to the 'software crisis' of the 1960s, and the termSoftware Engineeringwas first officially heard in 1968 at the NATO Science Committee conference in Garmisch (Germany). It was then that the global community recognized that creating reliable software requires not just writing code, but a strict engineering approach similar to the construction of bridges or airplanes.
In Ukraine, this field of training was known for a long time as the specialty121 “Software Engineering”, and within the framework of the current transformation of the higher education system, it is transitioning to new coding —F2 "Software Engineering".
Today, software engineering encompasses the full life cycle of software product creation: requirements analysis, architectural design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The department prepares specialists capable of creating reliable, scalable, and secure software systems using modern approaches.
The Internet of Things is a concept of a network where physical devices interact with each other and with the surrounding environment through embedded sensors, networking technologies, and software.
Students of the educational program‘Internet of Things’study the principles of building ‘smart’ systems, particularly in the areas of Smart Home, Smart City, Industrial IoT, automation, and embedded systems.
Artificial intelligence is one of the key areas of modern digital transformation. Training in this field includes studying machine learning methods, neural networks, data analysis, large language models (LLM), image processing, and intelligent information systems.
Within the educational process, the department systematically conducts defenses of coursework and qualification works, and also organizes open lectures and webinars. Below are specific video materials that illustrate the practical training of students, learning outcomes, and modern approaches to teaching.
Defense of qualification works of students in the OP ‘Internet of Things’Specialty F2 'Software Engineering', NUVHP, Rivne, 2025.

Part 2:
Defense of course projectsin the discipline 'System Programming' of students majoring in 121 'Software Engineering', educational program 'Internet of Things', 2024.
Individual student projectsalso presented as separate video recordings of defenses. One of the examples is a course project on the development of a portable weather station based on Arduino.
Open lectureon the topic'Wireless Networks'conducted for students of NUVHP majoring in 'Software Engineering (Internet of Things)'. The video discusses the basics of wireless networks, the IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi standard, generations of mobile communication, and data protection issues.
The YouTube channel also features collections of educational videos and playlists dedicated to the defenses of students' course projects in the 'Software Engineering' specialty.
