Organization description: The Magna Charta Universitatum is a document signed on September 18, 1988, in Bologna by rectors of European universities, aiming at the prospect of expanding cooperation in the educational field worldwide based on balanced standards.
The Magna Charta Universitatum emphasizes that: a university is an autonomous institution that creates, studies, evaluates, and transmits culture through research and teaching; teaching and research work in universities should be inseparable; freedom in research and teaching activities is a fundamental principle of university life; a university is a guardian of humanistic traditions; universities, especially European ones, see mutual exchange of information and documentation, as well as an increase in the number of joint projects for educational development, as a fundamental element of the continuous progress of knowledge.
On September 21, 2013, in Bologna, Italy, an agreement was signed for the university's accession to the Magna Charta Universitatum.
