Organization description: The purpose of this organization is to support sustainable management of water resources in various countries. It is an international network of organizations and institutions, open to all organizations engaged in water resource management. MembersGWPOare equal partners interested in the development and management of water resources and adhere to the principles of Dublin-Rio.GWPOstimulates interaction among network members by facilitating 'interdisciplinary and jointly organized' dialogues at the global or national level, and also promotes the implementation of joint programs.
Based on the awareness of personal and collective responsibility for saving nature and humanity from destruction, a mass environmental movement has emerged as a sprout of high morality and collective consciousness. It is this movement that has compelled international environmental organizations to speak about the necessity of ecopolitics and adhere to such principles:
- respectful attitude towards nature and care for its preservation;
- preservation of animal and plant life;
- improving quality of life;
- minimal consumption of non-renewable resources;
- human activity within the capacity of nature to endure its impact without harm;
- enhancement of activities concerning the environment.
