Training topic:
“Sustainability Competences – Sharing Knowledge, Best Practices, and Challenges”.
The aim of the event is to enhance the implementation ofEducation for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the UN Agenda 2030in teaching and learning at higher education institutions.
The training will be based on four key competencies for sustainable development:
• communication
• collaboration
• critical thinking
• creativity
The training is organized byBUP Associated Secretariat in Finland (Åbo Akademi University) together withtheBUP National Centre in Latvia (Riga Technical University).
Participants will have the opportunity to:
· gain new knowledge about education for sustainable development;
· exchange experiences with colleagues from universitiesin the Baltic Sea region;
· collaboratively develop interdisciplinary educational tools for a sustainable future;
· test the training scenario within the training.
The program also includes a session for discussing participants' own teaching experiences. Preparing examples from one's practice is not mandatory, but it increases the chances of being selected for participation.
