The Scientific and Methodological Council of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management is a continuously functioning collegial advisory body of the Academic Council and the Rector's Office on issues of scientific and methodological support for the educational process at the University.
The Scientific and Methodological Council carries out planning, coordination, monitoring, and analysis of scientific, educational, and methodological work at the University and develops recommendations for its improvement with the aim of achieving a world-class level of education quality and providing participants in the educational process with undeniable competitive advantages.
Thecompositionof the members of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the University may include University staff in the following positions:
– representatives of the Rector's Office (Vice Rectors: for scientific and educational work; for scientific and pedagogical work,
development and communications; for scientific work and international relations);
– directors: of NNIs, the Educational and Scientific Centre for Independent Assessment, and vocational colleges of the University / deputies
of the directors of vocational colleges for educational and methodological work;
– heads: of departments of NNIs, the educational and methodological department, the licensing and accreditation department, postgraduate studies;
– leading scientific and pedagogical staff with experience in educational and scientific-methodological work;
– heads: of the education quality department, international relations department of the international cooperation and education center;
– teachers-methodologists of professional colleges of the University;
– representative of the student parliament.
The Scientific-Methodical Council is established by the Academic Council for a term of one academic year, its quantitative and personal composition is approved by the rector's order.
The Scientific-Methodical Council of the university is headed by a chairperson appointed by the University rector. The nominations for the deputy chairperson and the academic secretary are determined by the chairperson of the SMC.
The resolutions of the SMC come into effect by orders or directives of the rector and are sent by the academic secretary to responsible persons for execution.
