History of the Department, Goals and Objectives The Department of Transport Technologies and Technical Services was founded in 1993 under the name 'Production Management'. In 1998, it became part of the newly established Faculty of Management, and in 1999 it was renamed 'Regional Management' and trained specialists in public service, management, and transportation organization. |
In 2012, based on it, the department 'Management of Transport Infrastructure' was created. After reorganization in 2013, the departments merged, forming the 'Department of Transport Technologies and Technical Services'.
From 2017 to 2022, the department was headed by Ph.D. in Technical Sciences Mykhailo Yevhenovych Krystopchuk, and since 2022 – Dr. of Economic Sciences Viktoriya Mykolayivna Nikonychuk.
Currently, the department employs five associate professors, one professor, and two senior instructors who actively engage in educational, methodological, scientific, and educational activities. The department's team is based on the principles of systemic thinking, innovation, and social responsibility.
Mission and Objectives of the Department
Our department is dedicated to training highly qualified specialists in the field of transport technologies and technical services. We promote the development of modern transport systems through innovative education, applied scientific research, and active collaboration with the industry and society.
Goal of the Departmentis to ensure a high level of educational and scientific training for specialists, conduct relevant research, and implement innovative solutions in the field of transport technologies and technical services. This contributes to the competitiveness of graduates and the development of transport infrastructure and logistics in Ukraine.
Strategic Objectives:
- Quality of Education.Development and integration of modern educational programs with a systemic, interdisciplinary approach that encompasses infrastructure, management, technologies, safety, and service activities.
- Scientific research.Conducting fundamental and applied research in areas such as digitalization, modeling of transport systems, optimization of logistics and maintenance. Transforming research results into concrete modern solutions.
- Technology transfer.Facilitating the practical implementation of new technologies through cooperation with transport enterprises, government bodies, and industry, organizing internships and joint projects.
- Partnership.Building relationships with leading universities, research, industrial, and state structures, especially within the framework of international projects.
- Formation of modern competencies in specialists.Encouraging students and young researchers to participate in competitions, conferences, and applied projects, developing soft skills through educational and scientific initiatives.
- Social responsibility.Implementing practices that promote safety, environmental sustainability, and inclusivity in transport, as well as supporting sustainable and safe solutions for the broadest segments of the population.
Approach to the educational processis based on the best global practices: combining academic excellence, applied research, technology transfer, and social responsibility. This approach not only enhances the prestige of the department but also significantly expands competitive advantages for students — opening the way to modern education, international projects, real practical experience, and a high level of employment.
