General Information
The Department of 'Construction and Road Machinery' was founded in 1965 at the mechanical faculty of the Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers, and in 1966 it was renamed to the Department of Construction and Meliorative Machinery (BMM).
In 1972, the cycle of disciplines of the BMM department on repair and operation was separated into an independent department - the Department of Machine Repair and Metal Technology. In the same year, a postgraduate program was opened at the BMM department in the specialty 05.20.01 - mechanization of agricultural production.
In 1977, the department established the Center for Educational and Production Training of Students in the village of Lyubomyrka, the construction of which was completed by the efforts of the mechanical faculty in 1983. In the same year, a traveling board of the Ministry of Agricultural Engineering of Ukraine was held at the center, where the department's experience in creating a modern material and technical base for students to gain practical knowledge was approved.
In the 1998/1999 academic year, the department switched to training specialists and master's degree students in the specialty 'Lifting, transport, construction, meliorative machines and equipment', and in the 1999/2000 year - to training specialists in the specialty 'Equipment for chemical production and construction materials enterprises'.
Since September 1999, the Department of Construction and Meliorative Machinery split into the Department of Construction, Road, and Meliorative Machinery and Equipment (BDMMiO) and the Department of Operation and Repair of Machinery.
In 2013, the department was renamed to 'Lifting, Transport, Construction, Meliorative Machines and Equipment for Agricultural Production', in 2014 - to the department 'Construction, Road, Meliorative, Agricultural Machines and Equipment', and in 2023 to the department 'Construction, Road, and Meliorative Machines'.
