The main directions of scientific research are carried out within the framework of the following themes: 'Rehabilitation and physical and recreational technologies for the restoration and maintenance of human health' (state registration number 0117U007676), 'Organizational and methodological features of physical therapy, occupational therapy for various nosological, professional, and age groups' (state registration number 0122U200755), 'A comprehensive approach to the use of physical activity in sports activities, rehabilitation, and social integration of individuals of different ages and functional abilities' (state registration number 0125U000668).
The department consistently hosts scientific clubs:
1. Relevant issues in psychophysiology (leader - PhD, associate professor Gamma T.V.).
2. Physical recreation (leader - senior lecturer Nikolenko O.I.).
3. Sports rehabilitation (leader - senior lecturer Nikolenko I.M.).
4. The impact of functional training on the human body (leader - senior lecturer Orel I.O.).
Students actively participate in scientific activities.
Winners of the I stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works:
First place – Sheptytsky Valentin Valentynovych, higher education seeker of the first (bachelor's) level, group FKS-11 (topic: 'Characteristics of modern means that accelerate recovery processes', scientific supervisor – Doctor of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Professor Nesterchuk N.Ye.);
