General Information

The Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines has been operational since February 15, 2018. The prerequisite for its establishment was the creation of the educational and research institute of health care at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources. The head of the department is Angela Oleksandrivna Nohas, a candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor. From September 2021 to September 2025, the department was headed by Serhiy Volodymyrovych Hutsman, a candidate of biological sciences, associate professor. Since October 2025, Oleg Hryhorovych Savliuk, a doctor of philosophy, associate professor, has been performing the duties of the head of the department.

The Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines conducts educational, methodological, and scientific activities, and ensures the implementation of educational programs at the basic higher education level in the specialties A7 "Physical Culture and Sports" and I7 "Therapy and Rehabilitation". Since 2022, the department has become a graduating department - the educational and professional program "Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation" A7 "Physical Culture and Sports" has been opened. In 2025, the department initiated the educational and professional program "Biology and Human Health," which will allow for competency-based teaching of biology and the fundamentals of human health, mastering modern health-saving technologies and innovative methods necessary for effectively fulfilling educational, educational, research, and creative tasks in professional activities.
