Scientific research scientific-The teaching staff of the Department of Foreign Languages is focused on fulfillingdepartmental research topic:"Modern Research in the Field of Foreign Philology and Linguodidactics: Achievements and Development Prospects (State Registration Number 0122U200373 dated June 22, 2022); Head of the Work: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Kupchik L.Ye., Responsible Executor: Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Kinaschuk A.V." Within this framework, research is conducted on the issues of foreign philology in the context of cognitive-discursive and communicative-pragmatic paradigms based on contemporary foreign languages (English, German, Polish, and French), the content of foreign language education, methodology of foreign language teaching, linguodidactics, internationalization of higher education, and comparative pedagogy. The results are reflected in two monographs: "Reforming School Foreign Language Education in the Visegrad Four Countries in Line with the European Recommendations for Language Education" (Tadeieva M.I., 2020) and "The Semantics of the Phenomenon of Irrationality in the Aspect of Cross-Linguistic Comparative Research (Based on the Material of Irrational Vocabulary in English, German, and Ukrainian)" (Kinaschuk A.V., 2024), as well as publications in collections cited in the Scopus and Web of Science bibliometric databases and professional publications.

The department organizes an annual All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Current Trends in Linguistics and Language Education," the results of which have already produced 6 collections of the participants' contributions.

The department supports the research activities of higher education students, resulting in the publication of joint scientific papers, participation in scientific conferences, and their participation (and victories) in the first stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research works. Since October 2025, the department has been running a student research group "English for Professional Communication" (scientific supervisor - Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Krutko T.V.).
