New Generation of Leaders: Official Celebration of the Olympiad Winners at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Technology
On May 19, another meeting of the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy, Automation, and Water Management took place, starting with an exceptionally pleasant and solemn event. The best students - winners of the I stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad 2026 were celebrated within the walls of the institute. The administration and teachers gathered together to personally acknowledge the intellectual achievements of the youth, who, despite all contemporary challenges, demonstrate a high level of knowledge and professional skill.
This year's intellectual competitions confirmed the high qualification of higher education seekers at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy, Automation, and Water Management in various disciplines and fields. The results of our students, who won prize places and received deserved diplomas to the loud applause of the members of the Academic Council, evoke particular pride:
Specialty "Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies, and Robotics":In this nomination, the representatives of the same specialty triumphed - Volodymyr Ferik (1st place, 1st year), Vadym Kohanets (2nd place, 4th year), and Ivan Polkhovsky (3rd place, 2nd year).
Specialty "Electrical Engineering":In the professional competitions, students of the specialty "Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics" were in the lead - Borys Novik (1st place, 2nd year) and Volodymyr Kyryliuk (3rd place, 2nd year), as well as Anastasia Hlushchuk (2nd place, 1st year, "Electrical Engineering").
Discipline "Fundamentals of Rational Nature Management and Environmental Design":Here, the entire podium was conquered by representatives of the specialty "Hydrotechnical Construction, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies" - Revetska Husarenko-Barska (1st place), Yelyzaveta Husarenko-Barska (2nd place), and Petr Husarenko-Barskyi (3rd place).
Discipline "Hydraulics":The winners and prizewinners were Illya Fesiuk (1st place, "Thermal Energy"), Halyna Shakhvorostova (2nd place, "Hydrotechnical Construction, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies"), and Roman Danilchuk (3rd place, "Renewable Energy Sources and Hydroenergetics").
Discipline "Metrology and Technological Measurements":the best in this field were recognized as students of the specialty "Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics" - Ivan Polkhovskyi (1st place), Roman Malimon (2nd place), Roman Naumets (3rd place), Volodymyr Kozak (3rd place), and Volodymyr Feryk (3rd place).
Discipline "General Geology":future specialists from the specialty "Earth Sciences" distinguished themselves - Matviy Rudenko (1st place), Olha Polyukhovych (2nd place), and Oleksandr Taradaiko (3rd place).
Discipline "Microprocessor Technology and Microcontroller Programming":the leading positions again belong to the robotics specialists - Ivan Polkhovskyi (1st place), Dmytro Melnyk (2nd place), Roman Naumets (3rd place), Denys Habaraiev (3rd place), and Denys Saveliev (3rd place).
Discipline "Computer Engineering Graphics and 3D Modeling":Andrii Vakulich (1st place), Oleksandr Mosin (2nd place), Anton Pylhun (2nd place), and Ivan Polkhovskyi (3rd place) achieved a confident victory.
Discipline "Mathematics" (Category "T"):first-year students of the specialty "Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics" showed outstanding results - Oleksandr Mosin (1st place) and Andrii Vakulich (2nd place). Kateryna Kushniruk (specialty "Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics") also took the third step of the podium.
Discipline "Construction Materials Science":Andrii Chmarak (specialty "Hydraulic Engineering, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies") made a significant contribution to the institute's treasury by taking the honorable 2nd place.
Discipline "Philosophy":Kateryna Samchuk (specialty 'Earth Science') demonstrated deep humanitarian knowledge by winning third place.
The solemn awarding was a яркий confirmation that a new elite of Ukrainian science and engineering is growing at the Institute of Environmental and Water Management. The leadership of the institute expresses sincere gratitude not only to the students for their hard work and thirst for knowledge but also to the scientific supervisors who help young talents discover new horizons.
Ahead of our winners are new scientific challenges and the conquest of new peaks. We are convinced that this success will be a powerful incentive for their further professional and personal development.
