A residence permit is a document that confirms and certifies the identity of a foreign citizen or a stateless person, as well as confirming the legality of their temporary stay in Ukraine. The permit is issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons who have reached the age of 16.
Foreign citizens who arrive in Ukraine for the purpose of studying receive a Temporary Residence Permit for legal residence in Ukraine during the period of study. The National University of Water Management and Nature Resources guarantees the timely submission of necessary documents to the AdministrationThe Administration of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Rivne Regionfor obtaining temporary residence permits for foreign students accepted for study, in accordance with current legislation.
The Center for International Cooperation and Education at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources coordinates the procedure for submitting the package of documents, registering foreign students, and obtaining temporary residence permits in Ukraine.
Step 1. Preparation of necessary documents
Before starting the procedure for obtaining temporary residence, all required documents must be prepared. These include:
passport with a type D visa (D-13)
notarized translation of the passport
medical insurance policy valid for the entire period of study
payment receipts for state duty.
Step 2. Submission of documents to the Migration Service
With the collected package of documents, you need to contact the relevant unit of the State Migration Service of Ukraine no later than 15 working days before the expiration of your stay in Ukraine. Document submission for obtaining a temporary residence permit is done in person.
Step 3. Obtaining a temporary residence permit
After checking the submitted documents, a temporary residence permit is issued within 15 working days. This document confirms the right of the foreign student to stay in Ukraine for a specified period. The permit must be obtained in person.
Step 4. Registration of place of residence
After obtaining the permit, the student must register their place of residence at the university passport office within 5 days from the date of receiving the permit. The document that certifies the place of registration (certificate) will be received within 5 working days.
