Research Activities of the Department of Social Disciplines

Project and Planned Scientific Work

Since January 25, 2021, the department's team has been implementing a comprehensive research topic:“Social Disciplines as a Factor in Shaping Civilizational Competence: Modern Educational Challenges and Development Prospects”(state registration number 0121U107604). Within this topic, the department's researchers analyze the transformations of the educational space and develop methodologies for forming value-oriented worldview guidelines for students.

Approval of Results and Communication Platforms

The effectiveness of the department’s research is confirmed by the organization of large-scale communication events that have become platforms for professional discussions:

• Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference“Social Sciences as a Means of Shaping the Civilizational Competence of Students” (Rivne, April 26–27, 2019);

• International Scientific and Practical Conferenceon similar issues (Rivne, May 20–21, 2021).

Key vectors of scientific activity of teachers

• Preparation and publication of fundamental individual and collectivemonographs.

• Publication of research results in domestic professional publications and journals indexed in international scientometric databases (Scopus, Web of Science).

• Systematic participation in international forums, symposiums, and scientific seminars for exchanging experiences with foreign colleagues.

Scientific research work of higher education seekers

The department ensures the continuity of scientific traditions through the active involvement of students in the research process. The main forms of integration of students into the scientific environment are:

1. Conferences of young scientists:participation in annual events dedicated to актуальним issues of theoretical and practical psychology, pedagogy, and socio-humanitarian knowledge.

2. Qualification research:implementation of the research component in the training process ofqualificationsof works and reporting documentation based on the results of internships.

3. Competition and Olympiad movement:professional support for gifted youth during participation in All-Ukrainian competitions of student research papers and subject Olympiads.

The scientific environment created at the department contributes to the comprehensive development of the student's personality, allowing the combination of fundamental theoretical training with practical skills in conducting independent scientific research.
