A project to strengthen water supply and wastewater systems in Ukraine in accordance with EU standards. It aims to address key issues in the sector, particularly to identify, test, and scale technical, financial, and management solutions. The focus of the project is on developing the capacities of key stakeholders—over 200 specialists who will participate in a series of training programs, hackathons, and study visits.
Project goal
The LIFE-U-SPRING project aims to strengthen water supply and wastewater management systems in Ukraine according to EU standards. The project will address key challenges in the water supply and wastewater sector by identifying, piloting, and scaling technical, financial, and...management decisions.
Project objectives
- Creation of an online catalog of solutions featuring over 100 examples of proven solutions in the field of water supply and wastewater management from Ukraine and the EU;
- Conducting a basic assessment of water supply and wastewater facilities in Ukraine to identify technological and management gaps.
- Promoting the creation of sustainable and resilient water supply and sewage infrastructure during the post-war recovery period;
- Development of agencies, local communities, associations of communal enterprises and communities, universities specializing in water supply issues, and government agencies.
