The National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Usage, Department of Transport Technologies and Technical Service invites academic and teaching staff, students, graduates, employers, representatives of government bodies, and the professional community to participate in a public discussion of the draft educational-professional program "Transport Technologies (in Road Transport)" of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the specialty J8 "Road Transport" specialization J8.03 "Transport Technologies (in Road Transport)."
The purpose of the public discussion is to improve (update) the content of the educational-professional program within the framework of the grant project "Implementation of Sustainable Urban Development Goals in Transport Bachelor Degree," as well as to take into account the current labor market requirements and trends in the transport sector, principles of academic integrity and ensuring the quality of higher education.
The draft educational-professional program aims to develop integral, general, and special (professional) competencies in the field of transport organization, management of transport flows, optimization of logistics processes, ensuring transport safety, and planning and operation of road transport systems.
The educational program draft has been developed considering the contemporary challenges in the transport sector and the implementation of sustainable development principles, particularly the provisions of Sustainable Development Goal 11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities," which envisages the development of professional solutions aimed at enhancing the mobility of the population, transport safety, environmental balance, and efficiency of transport systems.
The following aspects of the program are proposed for discussion:
- the list and structure of educational components;
- program learning outcomes;
- practical training and interaction with employers;
- compliance with current requirements of the transport system and industry standards;
- opportunities for integrating innovative technologies and digital solutions into the educational process.
